Message From The President
WELCOME TO ALBANY CREEK FOOTBALL CLUB. A very warm welcome back to all of our players, coaches, managers and families and to all of our new families who have joined ACE for the first time. Welcome! I'm sure you will find your time at ACE an enjoyable experience and you will meet many new friends.
This is my first year as ACE President and I am very excited about 2012. After many years of hard work through the ACE committee and in collaboration with Moreton Bay Council, we are proud to announce that our two new fields at Brendale are finally opened and ready for training. We hope you enjoy them. The fields are a great addition to the other facilities at Brendale and will help us cope with the increase in player numbers we have at ACE each year.
2011 was another great year for ACE. Our senior men's team were promoted to Division 1, our U12 girls had a fabulous year and won their grand final; and our U13 boys also won their grand final. I'm sure we can enjoy many more successes in 2012.
Here at ACE we are proud of our player development and we have a fabulous Football School that is designed to do just that - develop our players from U8 to U15. Salvatore Sottile runs and operates the school and Matt Smith from the Brisbane Roar is just one of the many talented coaches. I would encourage all players to sign up for this program which can be done online through this website. Our website also provides you with information regarding other programs we run here at ACE.
Like many other clubs, ACE is run by volunteers. This year we have decided to celebrate our volunteers with the catchcry ACE's "Year of the Volunteer-Join the Team". Our executive committee and management committee are unpaid volunteers who give their time freely to help run your club. At ACE we believe in giving every child the best possible opportunity to play football. The more assistance we can have at the club: the more effectively we run, the more programs we can have in place for our players and more enjoyment for everyone! It only takes an hour or two a week. I encourage you to become a volunteer and join a great team. Click here to volunteer for operational positions or Click here to coach a team
I would also like to encourage anyone that has a business to sponsor our club, as without sponsorship, jerseys can't be replaced, equipment ages and facilities become rundown. All sponsorships are tax deductible so please help us make ACE even better for our kids.
Finally, I would like to wish everyone a great 2012 season and I look forward to meeting you all on the park....
Sue Coburn, President
