With a game free weekend, it feels like months since we played our last game against Moggill. This in mind, we needed to ensure that our
game doesn't reflect a lack of competition time.
We began slowly from the first whistle, but as time progressed we started to dominate the possession and started to create chances. Our chances
were being hampered with regular offside calls, and again this was a combination of player and official lack of competition time. Justin Ansell frustrated
with the lack of progress decided to take matter in to his own hands and with a superb run from midfield in to the penalty box slots a beautiful high ball
into the opposite corner of the gaol in the 29th minute. We take to the change rooms at half time with a 1 nil advantage.
During the break we agreed that we need to take the game to the next level and work quickly in securing the 3 points on offer.
The second half starts as per the doctors orders and with good combination play from Ian McKenzie, Jason Poggi secures our second goal in the 49th minute.
Ian McKenzie's tireless effort brings dividend with three more assist, allowing Antony Paolino to score two goals (61st and 90th minute) and Lewis Dent a great of the post
goal in the 80th minute. This was not enough for Ian, as he searched for his own goal. Ian was constantly hampered by indifferent call of offside,
but with a superb across the goal pass by Anthony, Ian pressurizing the Park Ridge defender forces an own goal situation in the dying minutes of the game.
I can comfortable say, that Ian McKenzie deserved man of the match and undisputed ownership of the sixth and final goal of the night.
